Low-cost ZigBee protocol stack [Copy link]

Tianjin Sanwei Electric Co., Ltd. has recently launched
(provided with C51RF-3- CC2430/CC2431 BK):
ZIGBEE/802.15.4 (Simplified Version) Protocol Stack,
Exciting Super Low Price, Full C51 Source Code

ZigBee Protocol Stack (Z-STACK) is the core software of ZigBee technology and is the key software required for the development of 802.15.4/ZigBee technology.
At present, the price of a full-function development system with ZigBee protocol stack abroad is $6000 to $13000 USD, and the ZigBe/802.15.4 protocol stack only provides binary/unmodifiable target code libraries for users to use.
The reason why the full-function development system is expensive: Because it is a brand new high-tech, high-frequency and high-speed, tens of thousands of lines of ZigBee/802.15.4 C51 source code, the market is huge, but domestic users have limited budgets and cannot afford to buy expensive protocol stacks.
In view of the current domestic situation, our company provides the C51RF-3-BK development system to provide the domestic education/research/personal learning with the (simplified version) protocol stack of CC2430/CC2431 based on ZigBee/802.15.4, with complete C51 source code. The price is only a few tenths of similar products abroad (please contact our sales department for specific prices).

The simplified ZigBee protocol stack fully supports ZigBeeE FFD RFD, ROUTER, COORD and multiple network topologies. The following is a string network topology:

Figure 2 Simplified ZigBee protocol string topology
Features of the simplified ZigBee protocol stack:
l The simplified protocol stack has the basic C51 source files of the ZigBee protocol stack;
l Includes: NWK.C Network layer source code, definition file NWK.H, network neighbor code and other C51 source code;
l Also includes all C51 source code of 802.15.4 MAC layer;
l These source codes have been tested on the C51RF-3BK development system; for learning ZigBee and developing actual simple application products, the basic functions should be the same as the expensive original ZigBee protocol.

Below is a screenshot of the actual software running in the IAR C51 CC2430/2431 environment:

Figure 4 Screenshot of the software running in the CC2430/2431 environment

Below is the difference between the simplified ZigBee protocol stack and the standard ZigBee protocol stack:

l Functionality ZigBee Stack Lite Protocol Stack

Network Configuration: Dynamic, Network Discovery, Dynamic, Network Discovery,
l PAN ID Selection: Dynamic, Static, User Selectionl
Channel Selection: Dynamic, Static, User Selectionl

*At the end of the year, we will provide an upgraded
simplified version of the ZigBee protocol stack definition file list according to customer requirements:

Complete wireless learning solution:
l Series of textbooks ZigBee/802.15.4 cc2431/cc2430/wireless microcontroller textbooks;
l A complete set of wireless development tools for teaching/laboratories;
l Other C51RF-2/3/S3000/S3100 wireless courses and teaching experiment systems;
l Organize ZigBee technology training courses in various parts of the country, including half-day courses/1-day courses/2-day courses;

Why do you need chip coins again? Oh my god, I don’t have enough chip coins.

If the price is too high, it will cause people without core coins to flood the market.

I also feel that what the host posted is not as good as it claims, and it seems like he is just making money from the chips for nothing.

It is euphemistically called a "protocol stack", but in fact it is just a text introduction.

Why do you need the source code? Isn't TI free? I don't understand.

There is no meaning to this. I thought it was a protocol stack. I was fooled.
