Computer won't turn on - static electricity is to blame [Copy link]

My desktop computer was in use when it suddenly shut down automatically and could not be turned on again. I thought it was the CPU, memory or something, so I opened the case and checked it one by one. There was no problem. I was puzzled and took my host to the after-sales service. The inspector opened the case and discharged the CMOS three times. The computer ran normally. If your computer cannot be turned on during normal use, the CPU fan is normal when it is turned on, but the screen does not respond and there is no prompt, you can try the following methods: 1. Add a ground wire to the power socket of the computer. 2. If there is a ground wire, disconnect the socket first, press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds, plug in the power supply, and it will start normally. 3. If the above does not work, you have to discharge the motherboard directly. Open the case, find the CMOS discharge socket on the motherboard, and short-circuit the two pins. Different motherboards are described in the manual.
