SPI nandflash and SPI norflash [Copy link]

At present, the supply of various types of memory in the memory market is still very tight, and the procurement cost of the supply chain remains high. Among them, the price of NOR Flash continues to rise, because the actual output and conversion speed of new and old foundries are not ideal; more importantly, due to the large number of flexible OLED orders brought by Apple and Samsung's new flagship phones, Samsung's total procurement volume for color control of AMOLED mobile phone panels is estimated to exceed 480 million pieces a year, resulting in a very large demand for NOR Flash, which will boost the shortage of NOR particles in 2017.
According to a recent report by the Science and Technology News, the plan by memory giant Micron Technology (Micron) to dispose of its NOR Flash business will lead to a major reshuffle of the supply chain. As a result, major American audio manufacturers and European automotive system manufacturers will rush to Taiwan to compete for production capacity, making NOR Flash expected to increase by more than 30% in the first half of 2017. According to the news reported by the Science and Technology News, the current shortage of NOR Flash also includes the demand of Samsung Electronics in South Korea for color control of AMOLED, which is estimated to exceed 480 million pieces a year, which has boosted the growth of NOR Flash in 2017. In view of the above shortage, the single-wafer SPI nandflash of South Korea's ATO solution may meet the needs of some SPI nor flash customers.
South Korea's ATO solution company launched the 1Gb SPI NAND flash in 2010, and its model is ATO25D1GA. It is the world's first single-wafer SPI NAND flash. SPI NAND flash is essentially a NAND flash + SPI controller. In order to provide customers with stable and reliable flash chips and ensure the consistency of users' program codes, ATO solution designed NAND flash and SPI controller on one wafer, thus ensuring that all SPI NAND flash shipped by ATO solution are Flash all have the same controller, so when customers program SPI, there will be no problem of needing to adjust the driver due to different controllers. In addition, ATO solution has completely independent NAND flash design capabilities. The NAND wafers used in SPI NAND flash are all SLC specifications, with an erase and write endurance of 100,000 times and a storage time of more than 10 years. The hardware ECC verification can better help customers manage flash. Shenzhen Leilong Development Co., Ltd. has been engaged in NANDFLASH industry for more than 10 years. Currently, it is the agent of ATO Solution small capacity SLC NAND, SPI NAND, MCP, etc. For more information, please contact 28522668; Tel: 13691982107
