Is it like this: "In Cadence, select the .dsn file, then option---- Preferences ---- Miscellaneous and then check Enable Intertool Communication in Intertool Communication. After checking it, left-click on a group of components to be placed in the schematic, right-click PCB Editor select, and you can place them in Allegro."
