What are the functions and locations of capacitors of different sizes? [Copy link]

I am currently using a TI power chip. In addition to the common bypass capacitors such as 0.1uf and 0.01uf, and the common filter capacitors such as 10uf and 47uf, the manual wiring diagram also shows some 1uf and 4.7uf capacitors. The manual only talks about their functions, such as reducing sensitivity, but does not mention their purpose. What is the purpose of using 1uf and 4.7uf? Filtering? Or bypassing or something else? In addition, the manual says to put the 47uf capacitor as close to the component as possible. I think this is wrong. What do you think? Manual screenshots:

Power chips are usually used for filtering, but when capacitors are used for filtering, it is not possible to say absolutely what size capacitors are used to filter out which frequencies. Generally speaking, a small capacitor of 0.1uf is commonly used in parallel to filter out high-frequency AC noise and reduce interference noise. Large capacitors are usually 10uf, and sometimes there are 4.7uf so-called large capacitors to filter out low-frequency AC pulses and make them smooth.

Sorry, I just figured it out now. That is a storage capacitor and it should be placed near the power component.
