Intelligent Signal Processing at the Edge of Sensor Networks [Copy link]

Sensors are being used everywhere due to new applications such as monitoring offices. Sensors can be used to automate buildings, increase factory uptime and monitor national border security, using arrays of sensors to monitor floods. To achieve this goal, wireless sensor networks using the ZigBee RF protocol (based on IEEE 802.15.4) and standard sensor interfaces (IEEE 1451.x) for sensor access and playback need to be solved. This article explains why intelligent signal processing is needed and the solution to the problem.
