Use color to unlock the door Believe it or not? [Copy link]

Many smart door locks use RFID radio frequency cards as unlocking media, but in fact this method is not safe. Many wireless means can sniff the information exchange between the door lock and the card at the moment of unlocking with the card, so as to find a way to crack the door lock. How to unlock the door in a contactless and non-electromagnetic information exchange way? The new solution is: color.
The "key" of this lock is a card printed with multiple colors. When the card is inserted into the smart lock, a TCS230 color sensor will read the color information on the card in sequence and send it to the Arduino Uno one by one. After the Arduino compares the color sequence with the recorded unlocking sequence, it drives the mechanical part to open the door lock.
This pattern is not unfamiliar. Similar designs use barcodes or QR codes and other machine-readable forms to record, but because there are many tools to read barcodes or QR codes (such as your mobile phone), such methods are also easy to be recorded by other third parties. Color is relatively less conspicuous. You can even print a QR code on the back of a card with color to cover it up. The solution to this kind of card after losing it is also very simple - just print another one yourself with a color printer.

"Read the color information on the card in sequence" Is this sequence random, or?

Security is similar to that of a punched meal card. What if the color fades or becomes dirty?

Color recognition relies on TCS230. In fact, the color recognition sensor itself has a large error in color recognition, which is the so-called misrecognition. I recently learned about this when working on visual equipment.
