Filter damage problem [Copy link]

Dear experts: When the filter is not in use, the performance is normal when tested with a network divider. After it is installed on the board, its bandwidth range becomes poor and uneven. Is it damaged by excessive input voltage? Or is there another reason?

"Is it because the input voltage is too large and it has damaged it? Or is it some other reason?" Are you using a passive filter or an active filter? For a passive filter, the possibility of damage due to excessive input voltage is quite small.

LTCC? In the case of LTCC, check to see if cracks were generated during welding.

Is it a black plastic package? If it falls, it will basically be ruined.

Is it because the input voltage is too high? How high is the voltage?

Go to the filter manual and you can tell whether the problem is caused by excessive input based on the input range.

This is a test base, so it should not be a welding problem

If it has not fallen, it is likely to be damaged after testing on the board

It is within the input range, but a part of it is damaged.

If there is damage within the allowable input range of the device, then the damage is not related to the input amplitude, and you can look for other reasons, such as welding process problems.  Details Published on 2018-3-3 14:18

If there is damage within the allowable input range of the device, then the damage has nothing to do with the input amplitude. Look for other reasons, such as welding process problems.
