Why must it be an optocoupler? Aren’t you isolating the signal of the motor drive? Can’t you just use an isolated IO chip? Do you have any requirements for the driving capability of the signal output?

The size of a four-way optocoupler is exactly four times that of a single-way optocoupler. If you want to use six channels, just use six single-way optocouplers.

I support bioger's opinion. It should be easier to achieve your area requirements with IO isolation, and the chips are easier to choose.
