Motor starting current waveform measurement[Copy link]
Purpose: Measurements made with ammeters and other devices are usually not able to measure transient load current changes or starting currents. However, the memory recorder can be used with a clamp current sensor to easily measure using waveform levels. Key points: Use a clamp current sensor and use the starting current as a trigger. Use the conversion ratio function to directly read the current value. The clamp current sensor used is the 9018 model. The output rate is AC500A→AC200mV.
In addition, the maximum value and the time of the inrush current can be measured by calling the tracking cursor, and the maximum value can be obtained by using the parameter calculation function.
1) The recording length setting varies depending on the load setting. Here it is set to 0.5 seconds and 10 DIV under 50ms/DIV. 2) The input range setting The output of the clamp current sensor used is AC200Mv, so the range is set to 50mV/DIV and the zero position is set to 50%. 3) Setting of conversion ratio Select 2-point conversion on the conversion ratio setting screen of the system, and set as shown in Figure 5-12. The conversion ratio is enabled/disabled by ENG setting, and is set to 3/6 times of 10, so it can be read in K/M/G units. Voltage conversion ratio 2-point numerical unit symbol HIGH side 0.2000E+00→5.0000E+02[A] LOW side 0.0000E+00→0.0000E+00
4) Setting of pre-trigger It is necessary after the trigger, so set it to 10%. 5) ~ 8) (Same as "Example of measuring input and output characteristics of DC power supply".) 6) Execution of maximum value calculation Select parameter calculation on the status (setting) screen and set it to ON, and specify calculation only for channel 1. Since there is data left, move the flashing cursor to the place where the parameter calculation is ON, and the GUI of the function key will display an execution key. Press it. The maximum value result will be displayed on the screen.
