Infineon 32-bit superscalar microcontroller for automotive applications[Copy link]
Infineon has recently announced the launch of a 32-bit superscalar microcontroller, the TC1166, which embeds real-time performance and DSP functions, has extremely fast interrupt response time and the highest level of fault tolerance, and is suitable for AC and DC motor control in the automotive electronics and general markets.
The controller uses a high-performance 32-bit superscalar TriCore?, V1.3 CPU with a four-stage pipeline, combining RISC, CISC and DSP functions in a single chip. It achieves 80MHz performance within the industrial temperature range, has a 32-bit peripheral control processor, and the memory includes 1.5MB embedded program flash memory with ECC, 32KB data flash memory with upgradeable EEPROM emulation, 56KB on-chip SRAM, 16KB code temporary storage memory and 8-way DMA controller.
TC1166 has a professional interrupt system and a high-performance three-bus architecture: a 64-bit local bus for internal flash and data storage, a 32-bit system peripheral bus and a 32-bit remote 3 peripheral bus. Flexible general purpose timer array module (GPTA) with digital signal filtering and timer, two high-speed synchronous serial channels, two high-speed Micro Link interfaces, two CAN contacts, and MultiCAN module with 64 freely assignable information targets, two-channel fast ADC unit (FADC), 16-channel ADC with 8-bit, 10-bit or 12-bit resolution, 36 analog inputs for ADC and FADC, 81 digital GPIOs, on-chip debugging for OCDS Level 1 and 2, and power management system.
TC1166 adopts 176-pin PG-LQFP package, core voltage is 1.5V, I/O voltage is 3.3V, and operating temperature is -40℃ to 85℃.
