Following the HT46R23 and HT46R24, Holtek Semiconductor has launched the HT46R232. This version combines the features and advantages of the HT46R24, which provides more I/O pins and PWM output, with the compact program memory and data memory of the HT46R23, providing users with more choices.

The HT46R232 has 4K OTP program memory and 192 Byte general purpose data memory, giving programmers more room for application when processing larger or more complex data. 40 I/O pins are available for designers to use in multi-input and output control applications, such as external key input control, direct drive LED display, and control of external switch devices such as TRIAC, Relay, etc. 8-channel 10-bit resolution A/D conversion input can monitor external analog signals. With different sensors, it can be applied to detection functions such as battery voltage, current, temperature, humidity, pressure, brightness, etc. Equipped with 4-channel 8-bit PWM high-frequency carrier output, the PWM Duty Cycle can be controlled by directly accessing the internal register, making the use of PWM very convenient. PWM output can also be applied to temperature control, speed regulation, constant voltage, constant current, etc.

The HT46R232 also provides the following functions: I2C bus serial interface (Salve), which allows users to be more convenient in On Board Communication applications. PFD (Program Frequency Divider) can generate accurate frequency output, which is used for audio generation and can directly drive buzzer and other sound generation devices. LVR (Low Voltage Reset) is used to detect system voltage. If the system voltage is lower than the LVR value, the system will reset to avoid the possibility of unstable state caused by the system operating voltage being lower than the operating voltage.

The HT46R232 is Holtek's new generation 8-bit MCU that meets industrial specifications and is available in 48 SSOP and 28 SKDIP/SOP packages. It is suitable for home appliances and industrial control applications, such as induction cookers, electric blankets, electronic rice cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioners, temperature-controlled fans, switching power supplies, multi-function battery chargers, motor speed controllers, etc.
