Master Bond has launched a single-component UV/RTV silicone polymer UV71DC , which can be used for bonding, sealing and coating. Although the fast bonding properties of UV polymers are well known, some products with complex geometric shapes hinder its use. This UV/RTV dual-adhesive product can react with ultraviolet rays and humidity. When these products are exposed to UV light of the appropriate wavelength and intensity, they produce a transparent, durable, non-yellowing, chemical-resistant, and electrically insulating adhesive in a few seconds. The humidity of the air allows the adhesive to be successfully bonded to complex components, even if these components are exposed to UV light where it would be difficult to successfully bond. Of course, pure RTV can be generated at room temperature for 24 hours, and increasing the temperature will accelerate its formation. UV71DC can be used in the temperature range of -62℃ to 205℃. The adhesive is durable, flexible and thermally stable, suitable for various bases including straw, aluminum, polyester film and polycarbonate. Its refractive index is 1.41, the volume expansion coefficient is 10cc/cc/℃, the tensile strength is 110psi, and the hardness is 25.
