Overview of foreign mobile phone tariffs[Copy link]
In recent years, the issue of mobile phone charges in China has always been the focus of people's attention. What is the situation of mobile phone charges abroad?
UK: Subdivision of one-way charging standards
At present, the UK implements one-way charging. The UK mobile phone market is mainly occupied by four operators. The charging form is a one-year contract system, and the payment is paid monthly. There are multiple levels of payment standards, and the monthly rental standard is determined by the amount of free talk time given. Take Vodafone, which charges the highest fee, as an example: the monthly rental fee for 20 minutes of free calls is 12.99 pounds (1 pound is 1.42 US dollars), 200 minutes of free calls is 25 pounds, and 1,100 minutes is 95 pounds. If the free time is not used up this month, the remaining time will be automatically transferred to the next month for continued use.
Some companies have more detailed charging standards, such as a monthly rental of 25 pounds can make free calls to users of this network or local and national wired telephones at night or weekends, with no time limit; a monthly rental of 13 pounds can make free calls to wired telephones or users of this network for 20 minutes at any time, etc. This charge is not expensive for British people with an average monthly income of about 2,000 pounds.
United States: Two-way charging "packages" are cheap
At present, all major mobile phone operators in the United States have implemented two-way charging, but the overall mobile phone charges in the United States are relatively cheap, and consumers do not complain much.
The cleverness of American mobile communication companies is reflected in the "configuration" of rate "packages". For example, the second largest mobile communication company in the United States can provide three "packages": 1. Basic "packages" have a total of 5 levels. The lowest level is $19.99 per month, with 50 minutes of free daytime talk time, and 360 minutes of free evening, weekend, holiday and long-distance call time. On this basis, the other levels increase by $10 and $20 respectively, and the free evening, weekend, holiday and long-distance call time are all 3,500 minutes, and the free daytime call time varies from 250, 400, 600 and 900 minutes respectively. 2. Family "package". It is mainly designed to facilitate communication between family members, and up to 3 members can be allowed to join. Taking the lowest tier of the package as an example, the main family member needs to pay a monthly fee of US$29.99, and if other members join, each person needs to pay an additional US$16.99. These family members can enjoy 250 minutes of free daytime talk time together, and use one bill to settle the bill. 3. National call "package". This "package" claims to allow users to no longer pay long-distance and roaming charges. For example, the lowest tier of the monthly fee of US$29.99 allows users to have 250 minutes of free daytime talk time, and no roaming charges will be charged for use in any state in the United States.
France: Market openness, small profits but quick turnover
The French telecommunications market has been opened. Currently, there are three major companies operating mobile communications. There are two main charging methods: monthly rental system and lump-sum system. A monthly rental fee of 7.5 euros is paid every month, and the charge is calculated by the minute. The charging standard within the French mainland is 0.3 euros per minute. The lump-sum system is preferential in nature. The longer the "package" period, the lower the price will be. The communication service is promoted in the way of "small profits but quick turnover". Whether it is a monthly rental system or a lump sum system, it is a one-way charge.
Germany: Although the one-way call charges are expensive,
German telecom operators generally adopt one-way charges, that is, the caller pays. However, the tariffs of different mobile phone operators are different. When purchasing, the tariffs of different contracts of the same operator are also different. Moreover, the access services provided by the same operator with the same contract content have different call tariffs at different times.
Major mobile phone operators generally have several charging standards. Taking D1, the main operator in Germany, as an example, the monthly rental fee is 9.95 euros (1 euro is about 9 yuan), the call fee for fixed network telephones is 0.49 euros per minute, and the call fee for users on other networks ranges from 0.69 to 0.79 euros per minute. The price of sending a short message is 0.19 euros per message. In Germany, using a mobile phone can only be described as "expensive".
India: Two-way charges are waiting for you to "get into the trap"
India implements a strict two-way charging system. As long as you buy a mobile phone, you will fall into the "trap" set by the mobile communication company, and you will get deeper and deeper. The price of a mobile phone in India generally ranges from 5,000 rupees (5 rupees is about 1 yuan) to 25,000 rupees. It costs 15,000 rupees to buy a medium-priced mobile phone, and you have to pay the dealer 5,310 rupees for network access, 1,200 rupees for installation fees and 1,000 rupees for additional taxes. In addition, you have to pay a considerable amount of roaming fees.
Indian mobile phone users have to pay a certain amount of monthly fees every month, depending on the roaming range. In the capital area, the monthly fee is 500 rupees; for national roaming, the monthly fee is 600 rupees; for international roaming, the monthly fee is 900 rupees. Roaming in the capital New Delhi area is charged in three periods: 10 am to 9 pm is the standard period, 6 rupees per minute; 9 pm to midnight and 8 am to 10 am are the concession period, 5.76 rupees per minute, and midnight to 8 am is the happy period, 4 rupees per minute. Any time less than 1 minute is charged at the price of 1 minute.
