Delphi is supplying critical systems for Ferrari 's latest luxury car, the 599GTB ( Gran Turismo Berlinetta ), the Italian automaker 's successor to the 575 Maranello .The latest 2007 model is the most powerful V-12 production car ever built by Ferrari and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Delphi supplies the complete vehicle air conditioning system and Magne Ride control suspension technology as well as the electronic/electrical systems including the electronics center for this stylish grand tourer. Delphi has been providing Ferrari with interior climate control technology since 1992 and is responsible for the interior climate control systems for all Ferrari models currently. To meet the high comfort requirements of this luxury sports car, Delphi engineers worked closely with Ferrari to design the automotive air conditioning system for the 599 model and began production of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module in February 2006. Delphi has made some significant improvements to the dual-zone climate control system on the new 599. It is managed by an electronic control unit that receives and processes data on the inside and outside temperatures through newly improved software and a sun exposure sensor. Notable system components include improved carbon anti-pollution and anti-particulate filters and a compact variable displacement compressor (7CVC) for high performance requirements. During the Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari announced at a press conference that its latest 599 model uses Delphi's Magne Ride control suspension system.
