Maintenance of Fukang LPG dual fuel car [Copy link]

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is an efficient, safe and clean alternative fuel for automobiles. It is the most mature low-pollution automobile fuel for promotion. The promotion and application of LPG dual-fuel automobiles is an important way to solve environmental pollution problems and reduce automobile use costs.

At present, Fukang has two LPG cars, the two-box RDC type and the three-box EDC type. The engines are both 1.4L electronic injection type. Its LPG system currently uses the electronic injection LPG system of OMVL, an internationally famous Italian gas complete equipment company. For the electronic injection Fukang car, without changing the original car structure, the LPG system device matched with the Fukang car is installed to make it a dual-fuel car that can burn both gasoline and LPG.

· Composition of LPG system

The LPG system mainly consists of LPG cylinders, combination valves, LPG cut-off solenoid valves, electronic injection simulation regulators, evaporation pressure reducers, air-fuel ratio controllers, power valves, mixers, oil/gas conversion switches, gas inlets, pipelines and other components. Its connection diagram is shown in Figure 1.

·Main points and precautions for use

Since dual-fuel vehicles are different from traditional gasoline vehicles in many ways, there are many things that require special attention during use and maintenance.

1. Before each trip, in addition to daily vehicle inspections, you must also check whether the supply pipeline and joint components of the LPG system are leaking, whether there are other abnormalities in the system, and confirm that the plastic box cover outside the combination valve is closed. If liquefied petroleum gas leaks, pipeline damage, and other abnormalities in the supply system are found, they must be repaired in time.

2. Refueling is like refueling gasoline. You must go to a dedicated LPG filling station for automobiles to refuel LPG. You cannot mix it with civilian liquefied petroleum gas (because it has too many impurities, which can easily block the system component pipeline channels. In addition, too much butadiene in LPG will also damage rubber seals and reduce service life).

3. The maximum amount of gas added is 80% of the total capacity of the cylinder. The combination valve on the cylinder has an automatic limit mechanism, which will automatically close the inflation valve when the amount is reached. Excessive filling is strictly prohibited.

4. When filling with liquefied petroleum gas, the vehicle should be stopped, the handbrake should be tightened, and the ignition key should be turned off. Fireworks are strictly prohibited during inflation, and fire sources should be kept away. After filling, the gas supply system should be confirmed to have no leakage before starting the vehicle.

5. When switching fuels, there will be a transition period of fuel supply, during which the engine speed may drop or slightly pause. To avoid engine flameout during fuel switching, the engine should be switched at medium and high speeds as much as possible, and should not be switched in crowded traffic, uphill or downhill, at turns, or in places with poor visibility.

6. When the engine is started, whether the fuel selection switch is in the gasoline gear or the LPG gear, the gasoline gear will be automatically used for starting. If the fuel selection switch is in the LPG gear, when the engine speed rises to more than 2500r/min, and then returns to this speed, it will automatically switch to LPG operation, that is, gasoline is needed for starting. At the same time, when the engine is burning LPG, the electric gasoline pump is still working. Therefore, at least 10L of gasoline must be ensured in the fuel tank to lubricate and cool the electric gasoline pump to prevent damage to the electric gasoline pump.
