However, great people are usually workaholics, and even Marissa is no exception, because she goes to work at 8 am and goes home at 12 pm.
According to a report in businessweek (via Philipp ), Marissa is a typical workaholic. Don't believe it? Here is her daily routine:
8 am: get up and get ready for work;
9 am: arrive at Google office and start a conference call about a new technology;
10 am: meet with Udi Manber, vice president of engineering, to discuss search, engineering department and other topics;
10:30 am: discuss the next international business trip with the assistant product manager;
12 noon: meet with Larry Page and Sergey Brin to discuss topics such as product direction and strategy and potential future cooperation;
1pm: User interface discussion, comment or approve user interface design or changes related to various products;
3pm: Welcome new members of the team and discuss career goals and plans;
3:30pm: Meet with Google Video product manager;
4pm: Attend Google product strategy meeting with Eric Schmidt, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and other managers to review Google website traffic and other special topics over the past week;
5pm: Management holds a strategy meeting on Google China issues;
6pm: Working hours;
8:30pm: Deal with a day's emails; 11:15pm
: Go to Google Operations Field for a run;
12pm: Go home; 12:30
pm: Watch TV and deal with emails;
3am: Go to bed.
A great person is a great person. From arriving at Google at 9am to going home at 12pm, she spends more than ten hours at Google every day. Her energy is really extraordinary.
