Vitis 2024.1 creates HLS engineering issues [Copy link]

After installing Vitis 2024.1, there is an icon of Vitis HLS 2024.1 on the desktop.

Double-clicking will pop up a command window and report some errors, but they are related to Microblaze. It doesn't matter if you don't use Microblaze.

Then the Vitis IDE will be started. It is the same as the interface for developing embedded programs. It can only create embedded program projects and has no HLS related content.

Later I found on the Internet that to start HSL, you need to enter vitis_hls --classic in the TCL of vivado. I tried it and successfully started the HLS IDE interface. I don't know why this happens, so I can only use this method to deal with it.

The new version of Vitis is too abstract, and many changes are not clear.

I am still using 20.1 for development. I feel that the old version is more comfortable to use. It doesn't matter if the compilation is slow.

The new version is too different from the boss. Fortunately, I am not familiar with the old version, so I just play the latest version. The current IDE style is very similar to vscode, and it used to be eclipse style.

You can also modify the shortcut path directly, Vitis HLS 2024.1="C:\Xilinx\Vitis_HLS\2024.1\bin\vitis_hls.bat --classic" and add "--classic" to the original path.
