One shorting piece can realize two or more voltage level outputs? [Copy link]

The motor encoder power supply types include 5V, 12V and 24V. If each voltage level is equipped with an encoder card, it is a bit troublesome. If two voltage levels can be provided to the encoder on one encoder, there are two things I don’t understand?

1. This power supply is used to power the encoder. Only one short-circuit chip is used to achieve the output of two power supply voltage levels. This should be the principle of a three-terminal linear regulator changing the reference voltage?

2. What method is used to isolate the isolation chip used in the isolation channel of the encoder? What are the commonly used chips?

You need to check which encoder is used, or whether the encoder supports wide voltage input. If the communication level of the encoder is different from that of the controller, you must add a level conversion circuit.
