I read the post by netizen tobot earlier , and it seems that he has doubts about the specific model of this development board. I would like to add that the one we applied for should be the Luckfox Pico Max version with 256MB of memory and 256MB of NAND FLASH (that is, the top configuration ).
Here are some additional unboxing photos.
Here we explain why ours is the Max version. If you look closely at the chip model, you will see that ours is RV1106G3. You will understand the configuration by referring to the table below.
The secret of the model is also hidden in the silk screen on the back, @吾妻思萌
As you can see in the red box, the model is Luckfox Pico Pro/Max. In fact, the reason here is that the only difference between the two configurations is the size of the RAM integrated in the MCU. The board is the same, so the manufacturer uses the same PCB design. The two models can be distinguished by the QC label in the green box. In the picture, the right side is covered and the left side is exposed. 256MB, then this is the Max version. On the contrary, 128MB means it is the Pro version.
- Let’s start with the initial operation:
Here we mainly refer to the official website tutorial to get started, the link address is https://wiki.luckfox.com/zh/Luckfox-Pico/Luckfox-Pico-quick-start
- install driver
Download and install RK Driver Assistant DriverAssitant, link https://files.luckfox.com/wiki/Luckfox-Pico/Software/DriverAssitant_v5.12.zip . Note that you need to restart the computer after the installation is complete.
- Official images
The official website provides two types of firmware: SD card firmware for LuckFox Pico and LuckFox Pico Mini A, and SPI FLASH firmware for LuckFox Pico Mini B and LuckFox Pico Plus/Pro/Max. Here I post the SPI FLASH firmware for LuckFox Pico Max to save you the trouble of looking for it again. In addition, the official Baidu Netdisk is also very slow (it took me two days and two nights to download it, because I didn’t buy a membership).
- Firmware burning
Select RV1106 here
Unzip the image package I uploaded and select the folder. Don't forget to select all.
Connect the camera cable to the board, be careful not to insert it in the wrong direction, then press and hold the BOOT button, connect it to the computer with a TYPE-C cable and let go.
The burning software will find the new device
Click Burn
After the download is complete, it will automatically restart and an RNDIS network card will appear in the network adapter.
Configure the network card IP address, which is actually the IP address of the computer connected to the development board.
Can ping
Access via ssh or telnet
Login account: root
Login password: luckfox
Static IP address: 172.32.0.93
Here you can see that the rkipc.ini file has been generated, indicating that the Camera has been mounted successfully.
Use VLC streaming software to read the real-time picture. It feels like there is a network delay. VLC is also uploaded to save everyone the trouble of looking for it.
