TMI6036X meets 1.5V input, 80dB high PSRR, 16uVRMS ultra-low noise LDO [Copy link]

 

With the rapid development of smart cities and smart terminals, security monitoring systems have been widely used, and higher and higher requirements have been put forward for power management chips. LDO (Low Dropout Linear Regulator) has become an ideal power management solution with its advantages of low noise, high PSRR (Power Supply Rejection Ratio), and simple periphery, which can meet the strict requirements of security monitoring systems for low noise. In response to the above application requirements, Toulwei launched TMI6036X, which is a 5V 300mA, 1.5V input, 80dB high PSRR, 16uVRMS ultra-low noise LDO . It also has ultra-low voltage difference, fast transient response, output self-discharge function, UVLO, SCP, OTP and other protection functions to ensure the signal integrity of sensitive scenes. It is suitable for application market fields such as security, mobile terminals, image sensors, and network boxes, and supports two packages: SOT23-5 and DFN1x1.

Low noise, high PSRR

The power supply ripple rejection ratio (PSRR) is a measure of the LDO's ability to suppress input voltage changes caused by power supply ripple, or block noise caused by other switching regulators. An LDO with a lower PSRR may cause unnecessary horizontal ripples in the captured image, while the TMI6036X has a higher PSRR (85dB@1kHz, VOUT=2.8V), better ripple suppression capability, and significantly less power line interference noise, providing stable power supply for CMOS image sensors. Built-in multiple protection functions to improve reliability

TMI6036X has a wide input voltage range of 1.4V~5.5V and an output voltage accuracy of ±1.5% , which is suitable for the security, network communication and other fields. Moreover, TMI6036X has a stable output. The measured IOUT=1mA, under the condition of 40℃~160℃ temperature change, the output change of TMI6036X-12 is 7mV; the output change of competing products is 16mV, which is 43% smaller than that of competing products, and the output stability is significantly better than that of competing products. At the same time, TMI6036X has a variety of protection functions, including UVLO, SCP, OTP, etc., which can further improve the safety and reliability of the system.

Excellent load dynamic response

Security applications have very strict requirements on power ripple, so the power supply needs to be able to respond quickly to the switching of different loads to avoid system power instability caused by untimely dynamic response. TMI6036X has excellent load dynamic response, as shown in the following actual measurement comparison: when the load IOUT=1mA to 300mA, the dynamic of TMI6036D-12 is 35% smaller than that of competing products; the dynamic of TMI6036D-33 is 34% smaller than that of competing products; the overall dynamic performance of TMI6036 is better than that of competing products .
