2. Task Implementation

2.1 Development Board Familiarity

The interface of xiao esp32c3 development board is as follows:

XIAO ESP32C3 is small but fully equipped. It is powered by 5V USB, and its pins have multiple functions. Its functions can be expanded through external expansion boards.
2.2 Flashing Micro Python firmware
2.2.1 Download the burning tool
Download the ESP RF test tool and burn it according to the instructions in Getting Started | Seeed Studio Wiki .
2.2.2 Download the firmware

Download the latest firmware (this tutorial is v1.20.0 (2023-04-26) .bin)

2.2.3 Firmware burning steps
  • Unzip the .zip , navigate to ESP_RF_Test_EN\ESP_RF_Test_EN\EspRFTestTool_v2.8_Manual and open EspRFTestTool_v2.8_Manual.exe

  • Select ESP32C3 as the chip type, your COM port, 115200 as the baud rate, and click open

You will see the following output

When flashing is successful you will see the following output

3. Run MicroPython program
3.1 Connect to Thonny

3.2 Run help(), print() functions
