For peripheral timers, please refer to the manual of the specific device. If it is the timer that comes with M0, then it is basically only used as the time base of RTOS.

Start with the simplest one, such as the timing function of Systick basic timer

Then advanced timers, then timer capture pwm and so on.

Compare some materials and stm32cube to understand.

Understand while doing it. It won't work if you don't go deep into it.
