[MPS Mall Mini Program Online Huge Discount] Unboxing: Two Power Modules

I participated in the MPS mini program cashback event and bought an evaluation board and a power module for only RMB 2.36 in total. It was delivered to my home by SF Express, which was very affordable.

The goods I received were in a large box from SF Express. My family members were surprised and asked me what I bought, such a large box! Here is a small suggestion: MSP can save a little on packaging in the future, and then give the discount to the product, I will think it is more fragrant, hahahaha.

The picture below is the delivery note and promotional brochure.

The evaluation board is packaged in a small blue box, which is quite exquisite, as shown below:

Figure 2: Blue packaging box

This evaluation board is the EVM54304-MN-01A, a 4V to 16V input, quad-channel output power module evaluation board with integrated I2C interface and MTP.

MPM54304 is a four-channel output power module with integrated I2C interface. I plan to use this evaluation board to modify a debugging power supply, which can not only output 4 power supplies at the same time, but also set the output voltage through the digital interface. This saves the trouble of soldering LDO or borrowing power from other boards when debugging circuits that require multiple voltages in the future, thus improving debugging efficiency.

Another power module is the MPM3550E. The MPM3550E is a high-density non-isolated DC/DC power module for size-critical applications. The module provides a very compact solution with 5A of continuous output current over a wide input and load range, fast transient response and good stability. The MPM3550E provides an adjustable output voltage of 1.0 - 12.0V via an external feedback resistor (default output is 3.3V) and achieves ultra-high efficiency by using synchronous rectification and control techniques.

The MPM3550E provides standard features such as internal fixed soft-start function, remote enable control and power good output indication function. The MPM3550E has a full range of protection features including over-current protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP), output under-voltage protection (UVP), input under-voltage lockout protection (UVLO) and over-temperature protection.

Figure 4: MPM3550E

The reason why I chose this MPM3550E power module is mainly for two reasons: first, the output range of this power supply reaches 1.0 - 12.0V, which basically covers the voltage commonly used in my development, which is more practical for me. Second, the module package is easier to weld, and you don’t even need to make a PCB, you can use it directly by flying wires on the module.

Finally, I would like to thank EEWORLD and MPS for providing me with this valuable experience opportunity, which allowed me to get such excellent devices for free. I hope that there will be more and more similar activities in the future, providing more electronics enthusiasts with more opportunities to use their imagination and innovation.

The money for the boxes is paid by the customers.

I have asked the packing engineers before and they said that the packaging boxes also need to be tested for tumble, drop, shock, extrusion and impact.  Details Published on 2023-3-12 14:14
