What is NB-IoT? How is it different from massive IoT? What do you think? [Copy link]

Wireless technology is developing very rapidly, from 4G, 5G, to 6G, 7G, from WIFI to WIFI6, UWB, and now Matter. I am an outsider and I am dazzled by the excitement.

Today I saw two articles introducing narrowband Internet of Things. They are quite detailed. If you don’t know much about it, you can click to read them.

What is NB-IoT?

Narrowband IoT and Massive IoT

Are there any netizens working in this field? ? Let’s talk about your views on narrowband Internet of Things~

【Matter】As far as I understand it, it means that different manufacturers use the same communication protocol so that their products can communicate with each other. It has nothing to do with the underlying 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and WIFI networks. Narrowband IoT should be the communication of narrow bandwidth network, the communication frequency is relatively low, in the hundreds of MHz communication frequency. UWB is an ultra-wideband communication, generally used for indoor positioning frequency seems to be around 4G, and the bandwidth is quite wide.   Details Published on 2023-1-9 09:19

6G and 7G are still in the conceptual stage. Cellular IoT has been around for a long time. NB-Iot was tested a few years ago. There is also mobile Cat-1. These are already very common.
