A2B is a single-host, multi-slave audio bus system that was originally used to solve audio distribution challenges in automotive applications. Because traditional automotive audio architectures usually involve multiple point-to-point analog connections between head units, amplifiers, speakers, and microphones, the bus format is relatively complex, with large delays, and multiple wire harnesses are more prone to interference and difficult to route.
In response to the above problems, ADI developed the A2B bus architecture. As a high-bandwidth bidirectional digital bus, A2B transceivers can connect various devices such as microphones, digital signal processors, speakers, and sensors.
