I would like to ask a question about ultrasonic binary gas concentration measurement? [Copy link]

Has anyone in the forum done research on ultrasonic binary gas concentration measurement? For example, measuring oxygen concentration in air-oxygen mixed gas. I see such sensors on the Internet, but most of them are electrochemically measured.

There are more, but some are written in a high-sounding way, and some are relatively easy to understand, but the principles are the same. Search on CNKI for ultrasonic detection of binary mixed gas concentration. Someone has done it a long time ago, but the most recognized method for measuring oxygen concentration is the paramagnetic method.  Details Published on 2022-8-12 17:00

You can go to CNKI to search for some questions about ultrasonic measurement of binary and multi-component gas concentrations.

The main principle is that the propagation speed of ultrasound in different gases is different. However, there are many factors that affect ultrasound, including temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.

Let's talk about the principle of carbon monoxide gas sensor, which can be used as a reference

The CO gas sensor is a fuel cell type sensor. Carbon monoxide and oxygen undergo corresponding redox reactions on the working electrode and the counter electrode and release charges to form current. The magnitude of the generated current is proportional to the carbon monoxide concentration and follows Faraday's law. The concentration of carbon monoxide can be determined by measuring the magnitude of the current.
