I attended the live broadcast of " ST60 Contactless Connector and Application Exploration " held by EEWORLD and felt that this technology is very advanced. In this online meeting, I learned:
ST60 is a wireless connection chip developed by STMicroelectronics based on 60GHz millimeter wave technology, with the characteristics of high bandwidth, low power consumption, short distance, point-to-point transmission, etc. ST60 is an ideal solution to replace connectors and cables in many applications:
In LED video walls, it solves the problem of cumbersome installation of multiple cables and improves stability;
In factory automation testing, it realizes wireless diagnosis and testing to improve production efficiency;
In the industrial and medical fields, it gets rid of the influence of movement, vibration, rotation and dirt (moisture and dust) on traditional connectors, and solves the problems of wear and aging of connectors caused by repeated plugging and unplugging;
In consumer electronics, it helps to realize hole-free, slim body, foldable products, etc.;
It also helps product innovation in the fields of slip rings, security cameras, and board-to-board connections inside equipment.

Without further ado, let's get straight to the point. Because I was interested, I applied to participate in the evaluation activity. With the help of Mr. Cui Zhenglei of STMicroelectronics and Dr. Liu of EEWORLD, I quickly obtained the evaluation qualification, and I would like to express my gratitude. However, the board was SK201E, and I was interested in SK202. With the coordination of Dr. Liu, I finally received the SK202 board, thank you very much. I appreciate the efficiency and work ability of the EEWORLD staff.
I received a courier yesterday, a total of two boards, the size of 63 × 32mm2, as shown in Figure 1. Mainly including RJ45 network port, network transformer, Gigabit network transceiver, wireless transceiver unit, etc.
Figure 1
The wireless transceiver unit includes a pair of very small horn antennas, as shown in Figure 2. There are two horn antennas on each board, one is horizontally polarized and the other is vertically polarized. During the transceiver process, they are used in pairs to reduce crosstalk.
Figure 2
From Figure 2, we can see that the wireless transceiver unit requires very few components.
With excitement, I found two power banks, connected them to the Internet, and started testing, as shown in Figure 3.

Open an online speed test webpage, http://wangsu.bailepin.com/ , and the measured speed is as follows:
Then, using SK202 to connect, the measured network speed is as follows:
