"Notifying employees of slacking off at work", Gome responds [Copy link]

On November 16, a screenshot of an internal document from Gome Holdings Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gome Group"), titled "Notice on Penalties for Violations of Employee Code of Conduct," circulated online.

The notification document stated that according to relevant regulations, Gome employees are prohibited from engaging in activities unrelated to work in the office area, such as playing computer games, chatting online, listening to music, etc. "From August 30 to September 3, after the headquarters conducted statistical investigations on non-work traffic information, it was found that some personnel occupied the company's public network resources in the work area to engage in activities unrelated to work." The notification stated.

This penalty notice includes the employee's department, name, and even non-work traffic in the background. The situation shows that most of the employees spend the most time "slacking off" on Tencent Video and Douyin. The most conspicuous is the employee of the Planning Audit and Asset Security Center, who listened to 22.5G on NetEase Cloud Music, which is more than the traffic of watching videos on some other floors. According to the relevant provisions of the "Employee Code of Conduct and Office Space Management Standards", warnings and penalties were given, and some outsourced employees were dismissed. The document stated that for 10 non-outsourced employees, the company gave all employees a warning and an administrative penalty of 2 points; for outsourced personnel, the site was cleared and no secondary outsourcing was allowed.

According to Red Star News, on November 16, the reporter contacted the relevant person in charge of Gome Group's public relations department to verify the matter. The other party confirmed that the document does exist , "From the company's perspective, we will definitely follow the employee manual and manage employees to a certain extent."

"Every employee is given an employee handbook when they enter the company, and (the company) will organize employees to learn relevant rules and regulations such as attendance and rest time. Our lunch break is from 12:00 to 13:00. Some employees used 22G to watch videos. In actual calculations, they may have watched videos for more than ten hours in total. The lunch break of any company should not be that long." The person in charge told reporters.

In addition, the person in charge also told reporters that if an employee can give a reasonable explanation, such as forgetting to close the backend after watching a video during lunch break, this situation can be mutually understood. The person in charge told the Red Star Capital Bureau: "Some employees' situations are reasonable and reasonable, and HR will make a correct judgment. Moreover, the video department must have been using Douyin for a long time, so we cannot make a report on this."

The boss always wants to squeeze out the surplus value of the employees but is unwilling to pay extra compensation, so the employees find their own fun and slack off. In fact, it is not excessive, haha   Details Published on 2022-1-7 22:06

NetEase Cloud Music on one floor took up 22G? That's more than the videos and TikTok.

Either there are too many people slacking off on the 12th floor, or Cloud Music is stealing traffic.

And all the people slacking off on the 12th floor are using an app to listen to music, because they only have cloud music traffic...

I checked my computer and found that the storage of all Jay Chou's lossless songs is only 8G. What did he listen to in 22G? I'm curious.  Details Published on 2021-11-17 17:38

Many people slack off at work while complaining about the 35-year-old crisis. If you don't have the ability, just keep your tail between your legs and study more and work harder.

There must be an MV in it. I haven't logged into NetEase Cloud Music for a long time. If so, it would explain it.  Details Published on 2021-11-18 08:31

The traffic of video apps like Tencent Video, Douyin, iQiyi, Youku, and Kuaishou, which are counted separately by floor, cannot surpass that of a music app on the 12th floor? I don’t believe it.

I think the QQ music traffic counted there is the reasonable traffic.
