The magical problem encountered by KICAD [Copy link]

I was happy to pull the wires, but Kicad had some strange problems. I need help from the experts. 1. Both pads 1/2 on a socket are vcc, but the wire can only be pulled to 2, but not 1; 11/12 are gnd, 11 can be pulled, but 12 cannot be pulled. 2. When running DRC, it says that pads 0 and 1 on P1 are too close, and pads 12 and 0 are too close. There is no pad 0 on the P1 package: Sad:

Is there no pad 0? Click on the error message related to pad 0 to check the specific location to see if there is any pad overlap.

Someone said that the first problem may be caused by the limitation of your minimum spacing rule. You can try to change the minimum spacing and see if it works.

The problem was solved. The original package was generated by the package wizard through the FPC template, and then the pad 0 was manually deleted and the positioning hole was added. Now it has been changed to be drawn by myself, and the two strange drc errors have disappeared.

I suspect that there is a bug in the package wizard generating the package, which results in the deletion of the pad, but there is still information left in the file package properties, which leads to DRC error.  Details Published on 2021-3-12 16:45

Is the distance between pads generated by FPC template too close?

The distance is correct. When the FPC is generated, there is a pad 0 for fixing the seat. Because mine is locked with a nut, I deleted the pad 0 and added two mechanical holes. Then the DRC reported that the distance between pad 0 and pad 1 is too close. There is no pad 0 on the actual PCB, and there is no pad 0 in the package properties, but I don't know why it reports an error.  Details Published on 2021-3-12 16:58

I tried to draw the same package again without the wizard, and after replacing the package, the two problems disappeared in the DRC.
