【Gravity:AS7341 Evaluation】+ Detection of specified colors [Copy link]

This post was last edited by jinglixixi on 2021-1-19 00:54

In order to use the AS7341 visible light sensor to detect the specified color, the test solution I adopted is:

Create a WORD document on the computer, then draw several designated color blocks that are nearly full-screen, and use the visible light sensor to detect these color blocks in turn.

Here are the detection results for the specified color:

1. Daylight detection value

Figure 1 Daylight detection value

2. Fluorescent lamp detection value

Figure 2 Fluorescent lamp detection value

3. Red detection value

Red sample:

Figure 3 Red detection value

4. Purple detection value

Purple sample:

Figure 4 Purple detection value

5. Yellow test value

Yellow sample:

Figure 5 Yellow detection value

6. Orange test value

Orange sample:

Figure 6 Orange detection value

7. Green detection value

Green sample:

Figure 7 Green detection value

8. Grass green detection value

Grass green sample:

Figure 8 Grass green detection value

9. Blue detection value

Blue sample:

Figure 9 Blue detection value

10. Sky blue detection value

Sky blue sample:

Figure 10 Sky blue detection value

Through the analysis of the above detection values, and according to the spectral area distribution in Figure 11, it can be seen that it has the best recognition rate for yellow, green and blue, followed by orange, grass green and sky blue, and relatively weak for red and purple.

Most of the luminosity values in the wavelength range you tested are in the 2-digit range, and the ADC values are at least 10-digit. Comparing the two, it seems that the problem is not the screen light, the value is too small.   Details Published on 2021-1-30 00:31

How do you get the color to the sensor? A color card?

I think the recognition value of the light directly emitted by the screen will be better than that of the reflected light, so I use this method, but I don’t know if it is appropriate.  Details Published on 2021-1-18 17:43

I don't know much about optics, but a self-luminous screen is better than a color card!  Details Published on 2021-1-18 18:07

I feel the brightness is a bit low.

Haha, the brightness difference between sunlight and the screen is too big.  Details Published on 2021-1-28 23:30

"ADC is at least 10 bits, right?" This is impossible. According to the information: the sensor has 6 independent 16-bit ADC channels, 0xffff=65535, which is only 5 digits!
