[SC8905 EVM Evaluation] Power Supply Ripple Test [Copy link]

By the way, I did a ripple control test: input 5V3A switching power supply output setting 9.2V

Note: The following results are for the probes clamped on the test posts of the EMC board, and the spacing may not conform to the standard ripple test specifications

No-load comparison:

1) The ripple at the 5V input is roughly around 40mv

2) VOUT terminal

Test Case 2: 9V1.xA power supply heavy load comparison ripple control test

The settings are the same as CASE1, Rsns voltage is 18mv.

1) At this time, the power supply is already in an overload condition. To eliminate the line loss problem, the voltage near the power supply is 4.7xxV, and its ripple rises sharply to about 1.840V (scale a deviates by a small grid), producing a more obvious sawtooth wave

2) The VOUT terminal firmly maintains the voltage within the voltage setting value range. Surprisingly, the output ripple is only about 480mv under such a large ripple at the input end.

Conclusion of this test: If better filtering optimization is done on the vout end, smaller ripples should be obtained.
