Switch to the mechanical layer. Just draw the line.

Why do we draw dots and lines?

It is generally used to outline the border of the circuit board, as well as the larger hollow or special-shaped boring holes inside.

Thank you! It's like this, the welding factory needs a process edge for three-proofing, and wants to use dot-dash lines to draw the process edge on the mechanical layer, so that it is easier to explain the requirements to the plate-making factory and it is not easy to make mistakes. After welding, it needs to be broken off.  Details Published on 2019-12-18 16:58

Thank you moderator!

It's like this, welding manufacturers need process edges for three-proofing, and want to use dot-dash lines to draw the process edges on the mechanical layer, so that it is easier to explain the requirements to the plate-making factory and it is not easy to make mistakes.

There is no way to draw dotted lines on PCB directly, you can only draw them manually, for example, use a machine to draw a solid line on the first layer, and then draw another solid line on the remaining 1mm, until the entire board edge is complete. In this way, the remaining space is connected when the board is made, and it is best if the two ends of the board are also connected.  Details Published on 2019-12-18 15:07

You can manually add vias with only core holes on the line.  Details Published on 2019-12-19 08:52

Just draw lines on the mechanical layer, it is not necessary to draw lines at points

You can mark it as V-CUT

The board factory will process it according to the process

Or communicate with the board factory to find out the process edges that they can understand.

It seems that the dotted lines cannot be drawn freely on AD like in AutoCAD

Just draw a line at each break, and the place where the lines are disconnected is the place to be retained.
