Design of power module based on MP2303 chip [Copy link]

This post was last edited by 18379433374 on 2018-11-8 11:39
1. Introduction to MP2303:
1. Description:
DCDC type, Vin=4.7~28V, Vout=0.8~25V, Ic=3A, 360KHz, -40~85℃
2. Internal Frame: 386410 The MP2303A uses current mode control to regulate the output voltage. The output voltage is measured at FB through a resistor divider and amplified by an internal transconductance error amplifier. The voltage at the COMP pin is compared to the internally measured switch current to control the output voltage. The FB pin is controlled at 0.8V. When the MP2303A FB pin exceeds 20% of the nominal regulation voltage of 0.80V, the overvoltage comparator trips and latches; the COMP pin and SS pin are unloaded to GND, forcing the high-side switch to turn off. 3. Typical application: 386413 4. Setting output voltage: The output voltage is set using a resistor divider from the output voltage to the FB pin. The voltage divider divides the output voltage by the feedback voltage by the ratio: The output voltage is therefore: Typical values for R2 can be as high as 100 kΩ, but a value of 10 kΩ is generally used. When using this value, R1 is composed of:

2. Practical application:
1. Materials used :
Power chip MP2303; power regulator chip XC6206P30 (voltage regulation 3.0V), Schottky diode B340A; capacitor; resistor; inductor.
2. Original question picture design:
Output voltage calculation:
After being stabilized by the power supply voltage regulator chip XC6206P30 to 3.0V to power the microcontroller (or use XC6206P33 to stabilize the voltage to 3.3V). 3.PCB layout and routing Component layout: 386451 PCB routing (the green circle shows the supply voltage): 386450

Just to add, EN pin high turns on the regulator, EN low turns off the regulator. Do not float the pin. Note that EN voltage should not be greater than 6V. If the resistor divider makes it exceed, use a Zener (less than 6V) to clamp. To avoid noise, it is recommended to use a 10nF ceramic capacitor from EN to GND.
