Inductor Coil Simulation [Copy link]

I recently received a project that requires simulation of the DC resistance, parasitic capacitance and Q value of a PCB coil. Is there any good simulation software for this? I didn't get it right when I used MAXWELL to simulate. Can anyone with experience give me some advice?

This is more reliable to simulate with HFSS. The parasitic parameters should be simulated with RF tools.

I also think that the RF software simulation may be failed by MAXWELL.  Details Published on 2018-11-10 13:16

Thanks to the moderator. I used MAXWELL before, and it is easy to switch to HFSS. I will try ADS when I have the chance.  Details Published on 2018-11-10 13:17

I also think that it should be simulated with RF software. MAXWELL is not good enough.

Thank you, moderator. I used MAXWELL before, and it is convenient to switch to HFSS. I will play with ADS when I have the chance.
