Do I need to apply for use of the 868mhz frequency band in China? [Copy link]

We use a LoRa gateway test product with 868 MHz. Do we need to apply for this frequency band? Please tell me, thank you.

Hello, I have an electric water heater bought from Germany. The programming unit on the water heater can be removed from the machine and used as a remote control. The frequency is 868.3. I would like to ask, can this frequency pass through a wall? Because I want to put the remote control next door, there is a wall between us. Thank you. My WeChat is 2212632448. Can you add me? Thank you.  Details Published on 2021-8-12 19:24

The domestic Internet of Things stipulates the use of NBIoT, and LORA is excluded. In theory, the application will not be approved. However, if it is declared as a micro-power wireless product, the permitted transmission power is difficult to meet the application requirements.

The draft opinion that caused a lot of controversy at the end of last year is still unclear about what the official draft will look like and when it will be implemented, but the implication of the state's power to restrict LORA is already quite obvious. After the ZTE incident, in the context of the current trade war, the security of chips and solutions has been given more attention. At least China still has a certain say in the NB agreement, and Huawei can also manufacture chips, unlike LORA which is completely controlled by American companies. 微功率短距离无线电发射设备技术要求(征求意见稿).pdf (420.97 KB, downloads: 31)
