Colorful color changing decorative lights [Copy link]

1. Overview:
We use a HOLTEK economical single-chip microcomputer HT48R05A-1 to form a colorful color-changing light circuit, and use high-brightness LED light-emitting diodes to emit light. The flashing frequency can be easily modified using the program, such as 0.5s, 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, etc. The entire circuit is installed in a lamp holder similar to that of an ordinary light bulb, and is directly powered by a 220V (or 110V) AC power supply. The biggest feature is that when the light bulbs are connected to the power supply, as long as the power is turned on simultaneously, all the light bulbs will flash synchronously.
The picture on the right is the appearance of the color-changing light.

Color Changing Light Appearance

The principle of the control circuit is also very simple. Any three I/O ports of the HT48R05A-1 are used as outputs to control the on and off of the red, green and blue LEDs respectively. Different combinations of different colored lights are used to achieve red, yellow, green, blue, purple, cyan and orange light emission. Considering the full utilization of energy, multiple LEDs are connected in series. The working voltage of the LEDs is relatively high. However, their currents are consistent, making the circuit design simple.

Internal structure of color-changing lamp

Since the power consumption of the microcontroller is only in the mA level, the power supply of the system is provided by capacitors after voltage reduction and stabilization. The circuit is installed on two PCBs, one for the control circuit and the other for 18 LEDs (6 each for red, green and blue). Only 4 wires are used to connect the two circuit boards. They are installed in two levels in the lamp holder. In order to achieve a better color-changing effect, the positions of the colored lights should be arranged in a triangle shape.

The right picture shows another PCB of the color-changing lamp, which uses SMD (surface mount device) and has a smaller appearance and volume, with a PCB diameter of only 28mm and a smaller ball-shaped bulb. It can drive 12 LEDs (4 each for red, blue and green).

Color-changing light PCB layout The left picture shows the third PCB layout of the color-changing lamp, which also uses SMD (surface mount device) with a smaller appearance and a PCB diameter of 28mm. It uses a smaller ball-shaped bulb. However, it can drive 18 LEDs (6 each for red, blue and green) and has a higher brightness.

The right picture is another color-changing lamp PCB, which uses the MDT10P53A single-chip microcomputer, which is cheaper, smaller, and has only 8 pins. However, this product uses a larger ball-shaped bulb. It can drive 24 LEDs (8 each for red, blue, and green).
