In actual microcomputer applications, especially in industrial control, the problem of simultaneously collecting multiple analog quantities and converting them into digital quantities is often encountered. This article introduces a fast multi-channel conversion circuit and data acquisition program using three ADC0809 chips. ADC0809 is an 8-bit medium-speed analog-to-digital conversion chip with an analog switch inside. One chip can connect 8 analog inputs (the analog input range is 0-5V), and is equipped with a control logic signal connected to a microprocessor. It is a common and inexpensive A/D conversion chip. When the input clock CLK=6400MHz, ADC0809 converts one analog quantity at a speed of 100ms. According to this speed, the time to convert 20 analog quantities is 100s×20=2ms. Taking advantage of the high-speed operation of the microprocessor, this circuit adopts the parallel connection method of ADC0809, which doubles the acquisition speed of 20-channel analog input, and only takes 1ms. The design idea of this circuit has universal significance in solving the design of multi-channel analog quantity acquisition circuit.
