The design and calculation principle of the gyrotron single anode magnetron injection ring electron injection electron gun was studied. The 8 mm third harmonic permanent magnet packaged gyrotron electron gun was taken as an example, and the numerical calculation and optimization were carried out using a self-written program. The influence of space charge and the improvement of velocity dispersion were discussed, and the optimal electrode and electron injection parameters were obtained. The electron gun has been applied to the development of 8 mm third harmonic permanent magnet packaged gyrotron. Good results were obtained.
