The experiment showed that under electromagnetic radiation of 10 milliwatts/square centimeter, necrosis of the rabbit's lens epithelial cells directly led to cataracts after 4 hours. At an experimental intensity of 5 milliwatts/square centimeter, the potential for cataracts was found after 4 hours.
