QAW SERIES
APPLICATION
QAW Series are designed for the IGBT driver, offer 4.8W
of output, with output over- voltage protection and short-circuit
protection. Widely used in some applications such as general
transducer, AC servo driver system, UPS, electric welder and
so on.

1) Recommended circuit
All the QAW Series have been tested according to the following recommended testing circuit before leaving factory (see Figure 3).
If you want to further decrease the output ripple, you can increase a capacitance properly or choose capacitors with low ESR, the greatest
capacitance of its filter capacitor must less than the Max. Capacitive Load.

Application Notes
1. The wire between the converter and IGBT driver must as short as
possible.
2. External filter capacitors should be connected as close as possible
to the IGBT driver.
3. To ensure the high peak gate current, the filter capacitors should be
electrolytic capacitor and ceramic capacitor collocation.
4. The output average power of the IGBT driver should be less than the
output power of DC-DC module.
C1: 100μF/63V (Electrolytic capacitor)
C2,C4: 100μF/35V (Electrolytic capacitor)
C3,C5: 10μF/25V (Ceramic capacitor)

Min. load shouldn't be less than 5%, otherwise ripple maybe increase dram atically. Operation under minimum load will not damage the converter,
however, they may not meet all specification listed.
