Single-stage high power factor AC-DC LED driver

Features

MT79338 is a single-stage, high power factor (PF), primary-side controlled AC-to-DC LED driver chip. MT79338 integrates on-chip PF function, works in critical conduction mode, achieves high power factor and reduces MOSFET power switch loss. Utilizing MAXIC's unique control technology (patent applied for), LED current can be accurately controlled without secondary-side sensing devices such as optocouplers.


MT79338 has a built-in 600V high-voltage power tube, which simplifies the peripheral circuit.


MT79338 also implements various protection functions, including over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP) and over-temperature protection (OTP), to ensure reliable operation of the system.
