Single-cell protection of Lithium-ion/Lithium polymer batteries
Features
Product Name: Single cell protection for Lithium-ion/Lithium polymer batteries
Product model: SEI8101
Product Description:
The SEI8100/8101 series are 1-cell lithium-ion/lithium polymer rechargeable battery protection ICs with high-accuracy voltage detection circuit and delay circuit. It is a 6-pin package for 1-celllithium-ion/lithium polymer rechargeable battery cells protections including over-charge detection, over-discharge detection, over-discharge current detection, over-charge current detection, load short circuiting detection and charger insertion detection functions. The OC output controls an external N-MOSFET to enable or disable the battery charging path and the OD output controls an external N-MOSFET to enable or disable the battery discharging path to protect the battery cell from damage and incident occurring. The ICs has a built-in timer circuit for protection discrimination without external delay capacitor. In SOT23-6L package, the DP pin is used for speeding up the delay circuit timer intesting.
Remark: The SEI8100 series are used in battery cells with 0 V un-chargeable and SEI8101 series are used in battery cells with 0 V chargeable.
product features:
1.) High accuracy voltage detection
Over-charge detection voltage
Over-charge release voltage

2.) 29 V high voltage tolerate pin for VM and OC in charger connection
3.) Build-in delay time circuit for over-charge (700 ms), over-discharge (90 ms) and discharge over-current protection (6 ms) without external capacitor
4.) 2-step discharge over-current detection including discharge over-current and load short circuiting detection
5.) With power-down function
6.) Includes the charge over-current detection with normal operation and charger detection in over-discharge condition
7.) Low current consumption
Normal operation: 3.0 μA in typical, 6.0 μA in maximum
Does anyone know a circuit that first boosts the voltage and then steps it down, and how to calculate the input power based on the output power? Could you please give me some advice?...
