Features

MT7801 is a high-precision LED constant current control chip that works in critical conduction mode (CRM) with zero current conduction and peak current shutdown. It is mainly used in non-isolated buck LED power supply systems.


The critical conduction mode ensures that the MT7801 can control the power switch to turn on when the inductor current is zero, reducing the switching loss of the power tube and ensuring that the system has a peak efficiency of more than 95%. The critical conduction mode with zero inductor current valley combined with the peak inductor current after input bus voltage compensation ensures high accuracy of the output LED current and good linear regulation and load regulation. It is not sensitive to changes in inductance and can use I-shaped inductors.


The chip integrates a 500V high-voltage MOS tube, the peripheral circuit is simple, and the system cost is low.


MT7801 has a wide operating voltage range, suitable for full range AC input voltage or 10V-400V DC voltage input. MT7801 also implements various protection functions, including cycle-by-cycle over-current protection (OCP), LED short-circuit protection (SCP) and over-temperature protection (OTP), to ensure that the system works reliably.
