ROHM was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1958. ROHM designs and manufactures semiconductors, integrated circuits and other electronic components. ROHM continues to expand its presence in the North American market, with logistics headquarters in San Diego, California, a design center in San Jose, California, a quality assurance center in Novi, Michigan, a sales office in Guadalajara, Mexico, and a sales network covering marketing, sales and engineering support for North and South American customers from Canada to Brazil. In addition to its direct sales force, ROHM also works with multiple sales representative organizations and industry-leading electronic distributors.
For more than 50 years, ROHM has been adhering to the basic concept of customization. The company works closely with equipment manufacturers to develop next-generation equipment and uses the new technologies acquired in the process to provide customers with systematic solutions, continuously bringing high added value to customers.
The majority of the equipment manufactured by ROHM is developed in-house. This allows ROHM to respond immediately to changing market demands.
