Atop was founded in Taiwan 25 years ago and is dedicated to the design, customization and production of industrial network equipment and electronic label picking systems. Atop specializes in industrial automation products such as industrial Ethernet switches, dedicated switches for the power/railway industry, fieldbus (Modbus) gateways, wireless servers and gateways, media converters and serial device servers.

Atop has a wide range of unified protocol gateways that convert protocols between all products, thus ensuring smooth communication between legacy and new generation devices. These protocol gateways are highly reliable and fault tolerant. With these products, serial devices that communicate via a variety of different protocols commonly used in power plant distribution stations can communicate seamlessly with Ethernet. The various standards include Modbus, Profibus, IEC 61850, IEC 60870–5–104, IEC 60870–5–101, IEC 60870–5–03 and DNP3.
