NE555 makes a simple and practical acupoint detector

The principle of acupoint detection is based on the difference in resistance between non-acupoints and acupoints (meridian openings) on the human body. At this time, electronic methods can be used for electronic detection, such as using sound and light to indicate when the acupoints are found. The circuit is shown in the figure below.

The acupuncture point detector in the figure below has two detection electrodes: hand electrode and probe. Both electrodes can be made of φ10mm conductive sheet. When using, hold one hand electrode of the acupuncture point detector in the hand of the detector, and the other probe electrode touches the injured part of the skin. When the probe electrode is moved near the injured part to approach or touch the acupuncture point, the low resistance between the two electrodes makes the VT1 and VT2 composite tubes saturated and turned on. The ② pin of the monostable IC555 is at a low level, and its ③ pin is set to a high level, VT3 is turned on, and the LED and buzzer send out sound and light display signals. After a certain period of time, the sound and light stop, and the treatment electrode of the electroacupuncture anesthesia instrument can be used for treatment at the detected acupuncture points.

When making an acupuncture point detector, because the circuit is simple, you only need to correctly install and solder the components shown in the diagram on a universal board (i.e., experimental board) according to the diagram. The main task is debugging. Because the acupuncture points of the human body are all over the body, you can hold the pole in your hand during debugging, and then put the probe somewhere on the leg (or other parts), adjust W1, first the sound and light will not be displayed, then move the probe, you can always find an acupuncture point, slowly adjust W1, and after the sound and light are displayed, the debugging of the acupuncture point instrument is completed.

When adjusting the acupoint probe, it is best to have a rural doctor who understands meridians to assist in the adjustment.
