Double bell circuit

People often expect a doorbell to be operated by two buttons, say, one for the front door and another for the back door. This redundant button, S1, is connected in series with the disconnect contact of the relay Re1, and in parallel with the original bell button S1. When S2 is pressed, the doorbell voltage is modified by D1 and modulated by C1.
