Capacitor input rectifier circuits include single-phase half-wave rectifier circuits, single-phase center-tap full-wave rectifier circuits, single-phase bridge rectifier circuits, and voltage doubler rectifier circuits. Figure (a) shows a single-phase half-wave rectifier circuit. The circuit is simple, but the output current is small and the ripple is large. Figure (b) shows a single-phase center-tap full-wave rectifier circuit, which is suitable for medium and small power power supply circuits. Figure (c) shows a bridge rectifier circuit, which has two more diodes than the center-tapped rectifier circuit, but its transformer power is 0.7 times greater. If cost is considered, it is more advantageous to use a center-tapped rectifier circuit for low-voltage power supply circuits. Figure (d) shows a single-phase voltage doubler rectifier circuit . Using this circuit, the AC input voltage can share one line when the AC input voltage is 100V and 200V series. It is more convenient to convert high and low input AC voltage. When the AC voltage of 200V is input, the switch S1 is turned off; when the AC voltage of 100V is input, the switch S1 is turned on, thus supplying the same DC voltage to the regulator.
