The input current range of TPS61299 is 0.7V to 5.5V, which meets the battery voltage range of most wearable electronic products, and the output voltage range is 1.8V to 5.5V. To meet the needs of different application scenarios, the TPS61299 series has different input current limit versions, including 5mA, 25mA, 50mA, 100mA and 1.2A. In addition, the new generation TPS61299 optimizes the performance of the device in terms of response speed and has a true shutdown feature. Developers can choose forced PWM mode or automatic PFM mode according to system requirements. We provide two types of packages for this boost converter, namely SOT package with a size of 1.2mm x 1.6mm and WCSP package with a size of 1.2mm x 0.8mm, which can meet the diverse needs of customers.

At present, the most common wearable products are smart watches or smart bracelets. In order to measure the wearer's blood oxygen, heart rate and other biological signals, smart watches usually have optical sensor modules for biological signal detection. The boost converter TPS61299 can be used to power such modules. Generally speaking, the biological signal detection module does not work continuously, but collects the signal once at intervals. This requires the front-end boost converter to have a lower quiescent current to reduce energy loss, and also requires a high-speed dynamic response to ensure accurate signal acquisition. TPS61299 optimizes these performances based on TPS61099, so that the new generation of products can better meet customer system design requirements.
